"A Soldier Desecrated"

Films: Blackenstein (1973)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Dracula isn't the only one getting the Blaxploitation treatment. Now, the monster of science that Universal popularized is coming over again.

History: Eddie Turner was once a Vietnam soldier. Then a land mine took out all of his limbs. Thankfully, Dr. Stein was willing to help. But alas. Stein's slightly unhinged assistant Malcomb is jealous of Eddie, and sabotages the procedure so that Eddie comes out a brutish, mindless thug with a big head.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing Malcomb and Stein, Eddie is confronted by police-dispatched Dobermans, which proceed to rip him limb from limb.

Powers/Abilities: Great strength and immunity to bullets.

Weakness: Being torn apart.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-We admire this thing for its strength, but that's all it has going for it. No one's going to take a Frankenstein's monster with an afro seriously. We're sorry.

Trivia: -Many of the sets were actually cribbed from the original 1931 Frankenstein film.

-The names for proposed sequels include "The Fall of the House of Blackenstein", "Blackenstein III by One", and "Black Frankenstein Meets the White Werewolf".
